Methodist Youth Fellowship (TMC Bukit Rotan)

“And now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all you soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?"
(Deut. 10:12-13).

MYF (Methodist youth fellowship) is a word, which will bring smile on my face. It's for Jesus and because of Jesus, why I'm here in this world having all the fun and excitement with my loved ones.

I started attending MYF when I was 9 year-old with my brothers. In the beginning I did not enjoyed it much since the the members were much more older than myself and the programmes were all about and for youths. But, I enjoyed being part of the programmes, where I learned to play music instruments. Till then, I didn't know my interest on music. God helped me to know my ministry path through it. It was God the one who guided me.

I learned to accept people as they are. Most of the time, acceptance will be the hindrance for us to make friends; people expect too much from their friends. They want to have friend from same religion, race, look, appearance or even some expect their friends to have same taste and choice of lifstyle as they do. It will never bring you anywhere and people especially youths lost trust on friendship or relationship when this happened. What does Bible says about it?

“The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” (1 Sam. 16:7b)

So, we, people of God, who follow him should share the same character. We should learn to accept people as they are, join them worship God and guide each other to grow in Jesus. I've learned these from my youth fellowship.

Youth Fellowship is a place to :-

- Make friends

- Study about Bible (theory and Practise)

- Know yourself

- Build self - esteem and self - confidence

-Leadership Training in practices
Let's join hand worship the Almighty together and glorigy his Holy Name.

Alles Gute! Hallelujah
